Hi, I'm Whitney!

I'm a front-end developer based in Des Moines, IA.

I previously worked in the craft beer industry for 10 years, most recently as a sales representative for a local brewery. My interest in coding actually began during the pandemic when I was working as an Account & Brand manager for another brewery and helped consult on their new website design. I was hooked.

So at the start of 2024 I finally took the plunge and started taking classes on Codecademy. In early 2025, I earned my Front-End Engineer certificate and since then, I have been working on projects to continue learning and honing my skills. In addition to my love for puzzles and problem-solving, my experiences working in sales and brand management have given me a unique understanding when it comes to meeting client needs, including effective communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

In my free time, I enjoy doing puzzles with my husband while watching Survivor, playing video games, biking to breweries, and doing crosswords while cuddling with my cats.
